For a long time, I heard the Proverbs 31 woman spoken about as some unreachable ideal for women; a lofty, unattainable goal. That was until I started reading more about her. Not only was she not perfect, she was not anything like I had been taught to believe! I now view this lady as inspiration for the balance between business, family, and ministry. She built her home, her family, and her career. And although it is summed up in one chapter, it took her a lifetime to get it right. Now Proverbs 31 is an example to me for being a frugal and wise wife and a diligent home economist. I have a long way to go to be like her, but she gives us some great places to start.
I have always had an interest in gender issues, even when I was a little girl. Through a long series of events and choices, I ended up getting my Bachelor of Arts in Women's Ministry. I have a heart for women and women's issues- from abuse and domestic violence, to a woman's role in the church. I believe all of these things interact with each other, and that we must be strong ourselves in order to reach out to the hurting as we are told to do by Jesus.
My goal in this blog is to share a little of my life and inspire my readers to do the best they can with what they have. Frugality has always been a way of life in my family, and couponing has taken it to the next level for me. I'm here to share the latest deals, my favorite organizational tips, and delicious meal plans and recipes.
